Progress Report #1--Theater
by Debbie Hodgkinson

LoneStarCon 2 has reserved the Lila B. Cockrell Theater, a full-fledged, professional quality theatre, in the convention center complex. It seats 2400 (including wheelchair seating) in a banked auditorium, with a proscenium stage, backstage dressing rooms and a lighting booth. If you are part of a group which would be interested in using this facility to present a science fiction or fantasy play, let us know. We could have five different productions-one for each night of the convention. But you have to let us know. If we hear from more than five groups, we'll start a waiting list, because two and a half years is a long time to rehearse, and things could change for your group. If we don't hear from anyone, we'll release the theater back to the convention center and save some rental fees. So write now to Theater, LoneStarCon 2, P.O. Box 27277, Austin, TX 78755.
